Not sure how to attach a You Tube video here, hope this link works.

Link works but I know there's a better way to do this :p I'm at the end, the "grown old with my guitar" guy lol

I read the thread title and my mind immediately raced to Danny Glover in Lethal Weapon all excited about his daughter being in her first commercial. I liked yours Jim in spite of having set the bar so high. Given my first thought it probably would have been if it was a Viagra commercial though. :)

Very cool commercial with a very good message Jim. I wonder if my dad still has his banjo? Great childhood memories. :)

What a great commercial! Reminds me of how I loved my old vintage Martin guitar and wouldn't go anywhere without it. Now it's just gathering dust in the closet. But this commercial, especially the "growing old with your instrument" part, makes me want to dig it out and see if I remember how to play anything. Thanks for sharing Jim! ... Miranda

Is it that classy, distinguished, full, lush beard that is gathering you all these gigs??LOL

From one beared man to another, sweet beard! Maybe one day when I grow up mine will be that lavish! Haha! Great commercial!

lol, some very interesting responses lol

Miranda, if you've got an old Martin collecting dust it may be worth a lot of money, maybe I can play it sometime when I stop by? :) Bill, had a 67 SG Special I sold about 10 years ago thanks to the IRS, now I have a 2012 SG that I swapped 57 Classic pups into. and Phil.. lush(?) beard... I wish, not like the old days when you could actually see it :p Funny because I'm often asked in auditions if I'd be willing to shave it off if selected to which I also say "of course" .. thankfully no one has actually asked me to yet. And Warblad, I'd love to do a Cialis commercial, though I think the Viagra commercials are more "manly" hahaha

When I was talking to the director I mentioned to him that I started playing at 12, and then he told me the storyline was about a kid starting to play at 12 :antlers:

That old Silvertone surprised me cause it played much better than I remember those cheap things as playing. Think it had the original strings on it though cause it sliced my thumb ... some people. I think those sold for maybe $25/$50 new, now they sell for $750!!!! unbelieveable!

and thanks everyone - I thought it was a great little commercial, glad you like it :)
