Mixing discus

Hi , i'm in the process of setting up a discus tank and i will order some discus from Kenny and Hans about 3" fish. I will like to know if it's a bad idea to order them at the same time and mix them together? I'm planing to order about 8 from Kenny and 6 or 7 from Hans , i have a 120 gallon tank so the they will have a lot of space to swim around I'm planing to add about 50 cardinals and a few cory cats too . Thanks for your help.

Regardless from whom you get fish,mixing them is not a good idea. Quarantine all additions to your tank. In case of discus 6 weeks is the minimum quarantine period.

General rule is 10 gallons per an adult Discus.
