Removed the rocks to make it easier to vacuum. Fish seem happier as a result.

Heckel are showing a lot of blue. Very happy since these are rio negro heckels which usually are brownish.

Straight tap now. No more roobios tea. No more stressing over water.

Thank you

My tap is 179ppm TDS and pH of 6.8. I do weekly 50 percent water changes adding nothing but seachem safe and I don't age my water.

Temp is 85. Tankmates are hyphessobrycon pyrrhonotus, Hemmigramas Bleheri, Pterophyllum Leopoldi, Crenicichla Notopthalmus, Ancistrus Dolichopterus, and Biotodoma cupido.

Tank is a 150 gallon filter by a fx5, an eheim 2180, an aquaclear 70, and a Rena xp s li ked to a 18 watt uv.

Very nice looking tank. One of my favorites. What kind of lighting are you using?

I have a 4 foot finnex planted light. I actually cover a few inches of it with foil to reduce light further.

Those Finnex fixtures are very nice and sleek. There is a fully planted tank in my LFS that has 2 fixtures running. The tank looks very nice well lit but you can tell that if they do not crank up that co2, they will soon lose their battle to algae.
