hi all bought a api liquaid test kit today
and my ph was through the roof 7.6 or over
so did 75 percent water change
cleaned filter gravel total clean today
fresh water in and did nover test thought i give it thew hours for water to settle
ph 7.2
high ph 7.4
ammonia 0.25 ppm
nitrite no2 0 ppm
nitrate no3 5 ppm

I think testing for total dissolved solids (TDS) will give you a better idea of the quality of your water for breeding. pH is not that relevant, in my opinion, and certainly a pH of 7.6 is very easily tolerated by discus. For breeding I always try for 30 ppm TDS. You'll need a meter to measure that.
I would also recommend removing the gravel if you're trying to breed, it makes cleaning the tank much easier. Just a thought. Good luck.

thanex ive orded a tds meter i will send results when it arriveshope friday or monday next week
i looked at the female tonite and i think she may be pregent cause she has a bulge underneath its all new to me

I'd be more concerned about seeing a measurable amount of ammonia rather than that ph value.
