homemade vs san fran cubes?

I noticed that since I started making my own bf heart mix (beef heart, garlic, one a day men vit); that my pair eats less of it. Does this have something to do with homemade being more feeling? When I fed the san fran cubes they'd eat the entire cube, but now they barely eat half. Sometimes only a 4th of the cube. I made my homemade cubes using the empty package from san fran so I know the portions are near identical.

They may be simply getting used to the new mix. Keep them on it.
