poorly discus?

ive noticed one of my discus has long white poo instead of the normal black, what can cause this and does it need treating with anything

It's classic hex. The treatment is metronidazole at 400 mg per 10 gallons for 12 days with large daily WC. Unfortunately, unless things have changed metro is not available in the UK. Ask around on BIDKA. They might have a solution for you.
