I'm not sure what kinds they are. Some sort of albino pigeon blood maybe. The red ones were sold as red eagle but that's not what they are unless they are albino red eagles??

I saw some of those blue diamond at my LFS, they are so beautiful I am very tempted to get them. But I don't think mixing blue and red will look nice in my tank.

Looks like albino Marlboro reds .. Really nice they look pretty big are they 5 inches ?

They are 5". They seem to have paired off too. I'm not too interested in breeding them and have my doubts as to the viability of the eggs in our water. It has a fairly high ph of 7.5-8.2.

In general you are correct. Hard water tends to the higher pH values and soft water tends toward the acidic side. However soft water is generally poorly buffered so pH values can be on the high side, depending on components in the water.
