Hi everyone,

It has been a while that I did not come here often like before due to work and family, so I hope everyone is doing great as well as with your discus.
I am planning to set up a new discus tank after my wedding in July, and this time will be a first brand new tank for me. I am planning to do the tank with dimension 60L x 24W x 24H with 3/4" thickness of acrylic. However, I have a second thought about the height of the tank that it will look better and nicer with 30" height. Is it safe with 30" height for the tank with 3/4" thickness or acrylic. There will be 2 opening lids on top, so I can do wc and take fish in and out easily.

Any thought or opinion is very appreciated.

Thank you,

Trung

Welcome back Trung. I'd advise against the 30" height. It becomes a pain to do maintenance.

Also, not sure if you are aware but we have a local SoCal group. So, if you are up for it, let us know your info and we can send you an invite if we ever do a discus meet

Ricardo, please let me know about that. I think I saw the SoCal thread somewhere before though, but I definitely join the group. I see you everywhere, sir. Lol

Sorry Trung, I tend to "go away" on the weekends to spend time with the wife and kids. Here is the SoCal section I told you about:
