night light on for whole day (3 watts )

Just want to check with the expert out here, is it alright to turn on those night light (3watts) for the whole day? As the place I kept my discus is near my kitchen area and it is the area where my family members will turn on the light in the middle of the night. So to prevent my discus get shock/scare, I turn the light on for the whole day. Will it cause more stress to them?

Many forum members here leave some kind of light source or full light on 24/7 for purpose of frequent feeding.
Anyway its better to have some kind of night light in dark environments like your kitchen.
