Very nice picture Willie! The Checkerboards are on our June Stock list, and are available now if anyone would like one. The Greater Chicago Cichlid Association (GCCA) has a 3 day event each Spring called the GCCA Classic. They also host swap meets 4 times a year, which we participate in regularly. This time we were showing our Rafflesia, Cobalts, and Checkerboards. It is very nice event, and they do a great job with their swap meets. Here is a picture of our display table.

That's our friends Karen and David who were helping us out, and Karen's grandson Adam in front of the Checkerboards. Not as good a picture as the one that Willie posted, but you can see the type of quality discus that we always bring to the show. If you are ever in Chicago during one of the GCCA events, make plans to take it in!

With all my tanks at maximum capacity, I had to do the grown up thing and pass these by.

Linda and I drove down to the show, then paid a visit to Chicago Discus Sunday. For those of you coming to NADA, let me give you a hint.

THOSE WERE NOT THE BEST DISCUS IN THEIR SHOWROOM! :p :p :p

What size are those tanks ?

Here's another look at the display. The tanks are small so we can transport them easily to the shows. The ones on the left and right are 20 extra high, and the middle tank is a regular 29 gallon tank. We have to bring our own water as well, so we have to keep the tanks small.

Care to share the whole process to set up for these shows ? Do you just being seeded sponges and some aged water and get it all going ??
