I went for my first evening shoot at Gatorland. Many of the chicks are as big as their parents so tried to focused on some of those interactions. Many of these interactions looked painful for the parent.

Little Blue Herons

All the photographers thought this white chick was a snowy chick following the little blue heron. After seeing the pictures I realize this was a little blue heron chick from the black tips on the wings of the chick.

Excellent!! Looks like very nice lighting. Do you use Autofocus? It's really nice, very sharp.

I liked that little blue heron chick a lot. It was constantly after it's parent to feed it. Little sassy thing. :)

Yes Matt and the focus is quicker with this camera/lens combo...D500/80-400. :D

There is a downside when your chicks can fly. You can not get away from them. This snowy parent are bombarded with it's almost adult chicks.
