aquarium salt

Can anyone tell me the benefits of adding aquarium salt to the tank. How much should be added (75 gal tank), and how often. Is it for a long term or should it be added only in certain situation. should it be added after each water change.

It doesnt need to be added at all. Its has limited use in osmoregulation , stress relief and preventing nitrite poisoning....but in a normal healthy tank of discus its not needed at all.
