Some peppering evident

Some of the pigeon bloods are showing peppering. I have a skim of white silica sand and a black background.I did cover both sides with light blue bristol board to settle them earlier on. I am going to change the background to the same colour. Wondering if this will lessen the peppering at all, and would like an opinion. Thanks

It should help. Although many claim that the one that matters is the floor one more so than the background. I personally wouldn't know but just thought I'd mention it.

Genetic and no way getting rid of it.
