I always enjoy watching my discus lay eggs. They're in a community tank so the eggs won't last but fun to watch.

The eggs last a few hours. Yea, the size of that batch makes me think they both might be female.

You Never Know, some females are healthy enough to lay few 100's of eggs and some male's worthy enough to fertilize those much. Just make sure water is clean and quality enough to be a happy pair.

I wouldn't mind. But my wife likes to say "This is a home not a pet store." We are also expecting our first child soon, I'm not sure I would have the time to do it correctly.

Just keep learning and keeping discus til the little ones old enough to like them. Then get the kid factor involved too... Lol. But hon, the kid wants them too. Hehe. Im gonna breed them so he can some in his room too.
