Is it ok to use a glass tank divider to separate two possible breeding pair in a 55g long? one proven pair and one unproven.

Better to go with egg crate. Glass can easily break and then clean up will be a huge pain

thanks Rick, I have it in there pretty secure. I was more concerned with stress to the two breeding pair but I figured maybe it will create better care of the possible eggs and maybe, maybe fry!

You can also use an sponge cut slightly larger so it fits snug , you can order the piece custom made to your dimensions from Angel plus, I used in the past with great success.

thanks Julian, I have suction cup air line holders holding it in place as it is the perfect size width wise and below the water line about and inch so the water has movement from both sides. sponge filters one on each side and it appears to be working fine. Now to see if either one gives me eggs. lol one proven pair new to me and one un proven pair i have been watching in my 125g tank. wait and see....
