was feeding my guys BH a little heavily and noticed the next morning their stomachs would still look nice and full so I chilled out and didn't feed them beefheart this weekend. Their stomachs have gone down now and I started to feed a some cubes today.

What is the best amount to feed?

I give lots of WC and tank cleanings and want to feed as much as possible for max growth. I have heard of people that feed too much and kill their discus though...

Thank for the advice.

16 juvies in a 100gal. 80%+ WC daily, 0, 0, 3-5, 7.8 is where I am at

Feed as much as they will eat and make disappear in 15-20 minutes.

Sound right to me!

that's about where I was at before.

How many times a day do you do that. I was doing it about 4-5 times a day and these guys got pretty big in the waist.

Like I said they were still bulging the next morning.

Is that normal?

BH 5 times a day? That is excessive. I never feed more than 2 BH servings a day. If I feed more, it will be FDBW, flakes or pellets

I usually feed frozen beef heart once every day and a half or so. I don't feed as much as I do with frozen bloodworms. It seems a 'heavier' food. Meaning they don't eat as much of it per feeding. But that feeding is the second one at night usually, so it may be their belly's aren't as full. That said, beef heart five times a day. I would probably change that up.
