Well, the story goes. I recently purchase 1 wild cross and a tiger turquoise on separate occasion and they happened to pair up.
As of last night, it is the 3rd time they tried to lay eggs on the drift wood. Knowing limitations i have no capacity to setup another tank
or even more try to spawn and raise the fries.

My question is , will it be totally fine to just ignore it and let them fail again and again (thou it saddens me).
Will there be any ill effects on the fishes? I noticed one of them will not be very eager to find food when there are eggs.

Nope you can just leave them or you can pull and wipe clean and re add but it will not harm the fish in anyway. They are doing what comes natural.

What else is in the tank? They will have a nice snack;)

You may see some agression though as they guard eggs or try to breed or like you said swings in appetite.

yup , the pair guards the wood but the other few have came to terms with it also not going too near them.

The other tank mates are 2 bosemani rainbows, 4 Raphael Catfish, 4 more Discus, a L190 , l177 in a 125 gallon .
