My tap water comes out with a 7.4 to 7.6 ph and I want to set my new tank but the ph are suppose to be 6.5 to 7 if I'm not wrong, how can I do to bring it down or can I set it up like that. I'll appreciate some help thank you.

Great question. You dont need to change your PH, its fine. The thing that WILL stress you fish is PH swings. Let your tap water age at least 24 hours and test it again. If the PH changes significantly, then you will need to age your water before water changes. Depending on your water supply your PH may fluctuate as if off-gases for the first 24-48 hours. But dont try to ad anything to change the PH, you would be fighting an uphill battle.

There are many people keeping domestics in pH over 8 and breed them in little lower pH. in the natural habitat 6-7 pH is normal but domestics are not from the Amazon.A stable pH is far better than trying to adjust your pH. If you do, be very careful. many poeple have lose fishes ( that is all kinds) chasing lower pH when it would have been better to just leave it alone.
