So
I decide to put three Heckels and one Alenquer Royal that finish their quarantine with my last year Cui's and Japatu's. They are all doing really well and eating good. I have to say they are in 100% Atlantic Beach Fl tap water that means 300 tds, ph 7.5. I keeping the RO for the breeding pairs for the moment. plus is easier for an almost 100% WC daily in a 150 gal.
They seem to prefer this consistency the Heckels are eating machines, and not shy at all.
Here are some pics.

That sounds even better, Pat I think the colors spectrum are closer than a red base.

I wish I had room for some of John's heckels in my 120G. They would be great with my Uatuma blues. I just don't want to maintain two tanks right now. That said, I don't think the obsession will go away, so maybe next year. Best of luck with your guys. Love to see heckel pics.

Yeah - Snooky has some real nice fish. I sure am glad you guys pointed me in the right direction. Couldn't be happier with my Uatuma blues. For now, I will content my heckel obsession vicariously by seeing your guys pics and follow through. Would be ultra cool to get a brilliant blue heckel/Uatuma breeding pair. A man can dream... Alas, a man can dream...
Maybe next year!

Best of luck with your guys. So cool.
Cheers, BK

Thanks Ryan
The two Brilliants that I picked from you , seem to pair up . I haven't posted anything yet until they are proven, just don't want to jinx it.
