How Long to Digest?

I will be going on a 3 day business trip and will be fasting my discus. I fly out on a red eye, leaving my house at 9pm. I plan to do a huge water change and wipe down at 8pm.

Question is, since I am doing the WC in the evening, can I feed the fish breakfast and lunch? How long does it take before discus pass food that they eat?

As rule I do not feed on travel day just a very large water change that day.

Ussualy folks here do not feed discus the last day before going on vacation , they just do cleanup and large WC .
I have noticed occasionally that some of my discus still poop 24 hours after feeding , so that's way its better to skip the feeding day before fasting.
