- ammonia reading ___0_

- nitrite reading __0__

What type of water or combinations of water sources do you use? If it is an RO/tap/well water mix, please list percentages in the mix.

No
I have him in hospital tank since 2 days. No other medications since PP two days ago.

Thanks in advance for advice.

Hi Nicole, I would suggest adding epsom salt to the tank to help the fish pass anything which could be blocking it up. One tablespoon per 10. Also note the color of any poop passed.

I did see some dark poop since he has been in the tank. Do you still think I should add salt?
Thanks Pat

So he had been pooping dark brown poop but this morning there was a couple of small white poo in the tank. This lets me believe that it is intestinal parasites. Do you think i should use metro. He still didn't look too good.
At work now but hoping to do whatever is needed when i get home.
Thanks in advance!

Nicole, understand you have started metro. Which product are you using and what dosage? You can mix epsom salt with metro.

I used the seechem and used the little spoon they give you with it. I have used it in the past and it worked. I also have jemco metro but i have never used it yet so i was a little nervous about it. I did get a gram scale so when i do try it i will measure the way you told me in the past.
I am sorry that i didn't see your reply sooner.
I will put another dose of epsom salt.

Nicole, best to dose at 500mg per 10 gallons. Redose the full amount daily right after a large water change. Continue this for 10 days.
