View Full Version : Where to buy upside down cone feeders?

I'm currently using this Lee's Aquarium cone feeder (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002DZE9T8/ref=sr_ph_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1471915523&sr=sr-1&keywords=worm+feeder+cone). I wish it were larger -- my largest adult discus (from the fabulous Kenny's Discus) has problems getting a good angle to feed from it. I think a larger and/or upside down cone would work better.

Questions:

Where can I buy an upside down cone? Or are people just using regular cones but gluing the cones together using silicone?
Where can I buy larger cones? I see California Blackworm company sells a "larger" cone on their website. Is it larger than my Lee's? But I don't see a "buy" button. How do I purchase it?
Would my Australian FDBW cubes work in a upside cone? Or should I only try this with loose worms? I've tested cubes before and while they work great to stick on glass, they seem too fat and sticky to fall out of the worm feeder.

(By the way, I can't stick on glass because I also have a bichir in the tank and that greedy pig will just swallow the cube WHOLE.)

Thanks guys!

I have the 3 piece and just silicone the cone to rim and use it when feeding FDBW upside down. I them put upright when feeding white worms. The blue one's that Dan sell's are larger.
Here is the link...first time customers need to e-mail info.

Thank you so much Ralph! When I tried to access that link it says it is an invalid page. Do I need special permission to view it? Thanks!

It opens fine for me. Maybe check if your pop-up blocker is not allowing it to open.
You can always just e-mail Jennifer who runs the show with your order as well or through their e-bay transaction.

Thanks Ralph! I see this email address on their website. Is this the best way to reach Jennifer? blkworm@aol.com.

I don't think they're selling the cones on ebay (probably too small of an item).

Seems a little high priced at $6 ea US funds plus it's the small ones and s2002 is looking for the large ones as well.

if you can find the large Lee's they are one piece. I also use the cones from Dan at the California black worm site they work good for the upside down feeding. When the suction cup flattens out and fails you can use the airline suction cups with the u-clip

Got mine off eBay. $1.85 and free shipping to Canada from China.
