I know this is a redundant question since most of the questions asked here are similar to the one I
am going to ask. And here it is. Why does all of a sudden a Discus fish can be alert and vibrant
and go for his food and behave like all the other Discus, and then the very next day he looks
irritated, lethargic and not interested in eating, and does this funny swimming dance in the
aquarium. And it always happens to the nicest fish. I just think they are going through a
bout of bad indigestion, but I really don't know what to do about that. So then we have
to fill out the questionnaire. Is there any quick antidote for bad indigestion.

Do you notice any bloat? Big stomachs ??

If so Epsom salt works well for that to help digest.

No I don't see any noticeable bloat. Discus looks fine. No droopy head
or darkened color to speak of. It seems like he's just going through
a bad temper episode and snubbing food. I just noticed that he's
following the food but won't eat it. Should I put him in quarantine
and try the salt right away.
