Does anyone know if there are any LED lights that have both sun settings and moon settings for a true 24 hour cycle?

thanks,
jim

aquatic life edge LED fixture, I have 2. It has 3 channels, and all 3 channels have a sunrise/sunset setting

not too much or I wouldn't have bought it. got mine from kensfish.com I think, and one off amazon. $200ish for a 48" I think. I got mine when they first came out though. OP the current satellite plus pro LED light has the same features I think and I have heard good things about it.

I use a finnex planted + 24/7. It's runs a 24/7 cycle. The current USA lights are supposed to be really good also. They allow a lot more customization compared to the finnex from what I understand.

Personally I like the 24/7 especially for the price. Downside is no customization for 24/7 mode. You can do custom colors but it's either/or.

I checked out the current plus pros. those have lots of bells and whistles, but you can't do both daytime sunrise/sunset and nighttime moonrise/ moonset, which is what i am looking for. kens fish has the aquatic edge for $179, 20 dollars less than amazon. I am going to read more up it, but i think the aquatic is the way i am going to go. the current plus pro for 48" tank is $283.

thanks for the help.

I bought mine from Dr. Foster Smith a year ago. they had a sale on them and 25% off so I took the plunge to LED. I like mine but to be honest I never used that feature as I have mine on a timer.

jacklyn,
do the channels run independently of each other or can only start when 1 channels program ends? i hope this example makes sense.

sunrise - 6 am, sunset 8pm

channel 3 - rise at 12 pm, set at 2pm

moon rise - 10 pm, moon set - 2am

OORRRRRR

sunrise - 6m, sunset 12 pm

channel 3 rise - 12 pm, set - 8pm

moon rise - 10 pm, moon set - 2 am

no they run independently, and can run simultaneously. For example my channel 2 (colored leds) are running all day while channels 1 and 3 come one and off. well kind of here is my settings
6am-6pm channel 1 (colored LED)
12:50-1:00 channel 2 (white led) 10 min only to signal food
moonlight channel 4pm-10pm

so at 530ish when I get home, my colored led's are sunsetting down while my moonlight is going through sunrise at the same time and its really cool

jacklyn, if i can bother you 1 more time, can you adjust the intensity of the LEDs? I looked at the manual for the fixture but didn't see any kind of setting.

thanks,
jim

This link can explain it much better than I... Lol

I do hear the current sat pro is abit more adjustable. I have both and love them both. I just find i like the finnex a lil more.

Planted + 24/7 you can adjust red blue white green independently. The 24/7 has no timer other than the 24/7 mode. You can save custom colors but you lose 24/7 function of using a single color. There is no ramp up or ramp down function with independent color choices. If you do not wish to run in 24/7 mode I would def go with the current USA.

I got mine for my planted tank and works wonders

no Jim, there is no adjustment. the settings are pre set and you can only adjust the timers and the sunrise/sunset length.
