First time taking shots after sunset. These were taken from the ferry returning from Vancouver Island to Vancouver. The moon was gorgeous. What do you think?

Pat the pics are really nice. I see from the exif data that they were shot at 100 ISO? Those night time shots are hard at low ISOs.. the exposures take long and can blur the pic alot. Its a good time to bump up your ISO levels .

Beautiful scenery there, must have been breath taking being under that moon that night!

It was gorgeous Al. I had been trying to capture the moon for several days so this was sort of a bucket shot for me. The reason I used ISO 100 was it seemed to work well some moon shots prior. So a learning experience for me. :)

Pat, that's one of the many beautiful scenes on the west coast of Canada that convinced me to live in Vancouver permanently, when I first saw the place many years ago. Wonderful pics.

Thanks Matt, I tried to pull some of the blue out and ended up with this.

I don't mind the blue tbh looking at it. Gives me a sense of dusk. I think it can work both ways.

I like this one better, the details of the shoreline and docks stand out more.
