I had an idea for a thread and I hope it serves the intended task.
We have all started somewhere with discus and have made mistakes. There are many seasoned vets here, that have kept and bread discus successfully for decades, many "intermediate" keepers and lots of newbies.
I feel like so many are scared off because the perception is that discus are difficult to keep.
From what I've learned discus are not difficult to keep but require a lot of dedication on the keeper's part.
My though behind this thread is that maybe less people would be scared off if they are able to see that the vets have gone through what they have.
I often see OPs that refuse to take the advice given. I think there are many reasons for this but for them to know mistakes have been made by all help them to accept the facts of their wrongdoing and make the necessary changes
