Do you think this would look good in a 75 gallon tank with my babies?

well is it going to float? I myself will no longer use any wood that needs slate attached, I have fallen in love with the sinking mopani and Malaysian sinking wood.

I had both Malaysian and mopani before I swapped for manzanita. They both sunk nicely.

I boiled quite a bit but still got a lot of tannin staining of the water. I tried a bunch of water changes which didnt help. I then threw a bag of purigen in my filter and water was clear in 24 hours.

I'd say boil it well then also soak in a large rubbermaid tote. Change water until it is clear and also saturate wood 'til it sinks

It was in a tank previously so it should sink once it is saturated again. I'm going to soak it in a barrel for a while.

Personally I don't find the piece very attractive. If it has been in someone else's tank I would boil the crap out of it.
