Hi, I have a fluval roma 240 tank which comes with its own outlets fitted into the tank, i am currently using a fluval 306 filter, but wondered are the lever fittings the same for all the range, the part where you connect the water then lever it down to secure it. So if i got a 406 and swapped the media over, would the lever thats already fitted to the inlet / outlet hoses fit onto the 406?

If not how would i go about taking the 306 lever off without water coming out?

thanks

james

Don't know if The fittings are the same or not but if you need to removes hoses from the aqua stop you just need to lower water level to break the siphon

Occasionally you need to do that to clean your horses anyway

Hi James,

I can't help with an answer, but how do you find your Fluval Roma 240? This is the tank I have ordered to replace my current one :)

The tank is awesome, are you getting it with its cabinet or just the tank? If you are getting the cabinet to then that's excellent to. The tank is very well made though.

Hi. I'm getting it with cabinet and also comes included with a Fluval 306 External filter too, seems a pretty good deal :)

Hi James both the Fluval 306 and the Fluval 406 work the same way. When the red lever is up the tank water is stopped from flowing into the canister so that you can service the canister and when the lever is down the water can flow. The 306 filter is smaller then the 406.

When you say it's smaller it still fits though?

James did you try to google up to see if they take the same hose?.....they do so that means that most likely the blocks are the same. This question Fluval CS might be able to answer with 100% certainty.
