2 discus dominating the feed

I have 4 discus and there are 2 that is hogging all the food. The 2 allow each other to feed but attack the other fishes that get near the food. Is this normal behavior for Discus to food a pack to dominate food or is this a mating pair?

Very normal behavior for discus. I used to feed a sinking food such as tetra's tropical granules and at the same feeding a floating food such as freeze dried black or blood worms. Sometimes this will keep the bully or bullies from over-stressing the weaker ones.

Same here,if I am feeding 1 cube of fdbw,I will break it into 2 to spread out the number of fish fighting over it.

I do the same.. Spread out the cubes stuck to the glass. Also since you only have 4 fish that may contribute to the aggression
