I have 3 batches from 2 pairs after a painfully long dry spell. I can't stop looking at them. I'm especially enamored of my oldest batch . They're around 2" and I can see their color coming in. The others are younger and still with their parents. I won't know what I've got until they're older.

Congrats Liz!
The sight of new batch of fry never gets old! I've recently got a new batch of Watanabe babies and can't take my eyes off of them either. I'd post pix but they keep coming out sideways so... Best. :-)

I'll think about it, I may take close ups of my 13 largest. There are a few quite nice ones in the batch. I wish I could work my camera better.
The pics of the kids being raised by their parents would just be your normal pics of fry going from to one parent to the other or chowing down on BBS. At that age you can't tell much.

There's tea in the water and everything comes out orange, but here you go. First some of my 13.

Just two pairs. One pair is of home bred PBs and their kids. The parents are good quality but not exceptional. I'm not interested in working with PB's. I'll send their kids to the wholesaler when they get to 2 1/2"

The other pair came from Ryan. The male is a RSG and the female is a Blue Scorpion. I have both 9 and 14 bar in the offspring. I'm very interested in growing them and seeing what I get, and deciding how to proceed. It's a blast!

Angels got me through the hard times but I never got the excitement from breeding Angels that breeding Discus gives me.

Liz, breeding discus is very special. I know exactly what you mean. :) Sort of missing it myself. Perhaps after my fish grow some I will raise a batch. See if raising domestic fry is any different then raising F1s from wild parents.
