3d background input

Hi I am considering getting a 3d background from universal rock thinking about going with the crevice background I was just wondering if any of you have had a problem with getting gunk and debris trapped behind the background affecting water quality and what not just want to make sure its safe to use and if any of you have had any problems with it thanks

I had problems with it, however you must know that I didn't silicone it in or provide any sort of water movement behind it to flush it out either. I think if you provide proper flow or secure it in the tank more permanently you wouldn't have the same issues. I left mine mobile for the sole reason of cleaning behind it, but that may be the whole reason it got dirty in the first place. They really do look great.
