Very nice. The male has nice color coverage. Good job. Raising a group of super veils myself for breeding pairs.

Thank you all. These are my breeders in a 150tall. Not for sale. I will be breeding again in about a month. Discus breeders call the same fish by several names depending on the breeder. I am called my Gold/Black and white War Paint because of the small amount of jet black. I now have those with bright red highlights around the head, up into the dorsal fin.

9 years of trial and error. Got my foundation "six" from Sponsor John (Snookn21). He lives about 40 miles from me.

Stumbled across this YouTube video of Bob's War Paint super veils. The video is about as old as this thread. Thought Liz, Mugwump and some of the other angelfish people would appreciate another look at Bob's fish.

He named the "strain" so if you are wanting Warpaint Angels he would be the only source.

I believe his first name is Bob. He doesn't have a website and like I said, he hasn't been heard of since a hurricane hit his area.

I'm not sure he does sell them. I don't even know if he's still breeding them. Hopefully, Bob will see his old thread resurrected here and chime in.

Jay if you send me a pm here with your email I can give you info. I have a tank of his angels and they are as beautiful as in the above pics. I got them from him at nickle size, they are now huge, 10-12" high.

Liz is correct. No more fish or people to be produced by me. (at least in this life) Not counting Endlers or Goldfish of course, can't stop them. Skip,pm me and I will give you info. that may help you get them.

I wouldn't mind a pair of those for my community ;-)

On a side note... Have you spoken to John?
If so, how's his recovery going?
