Who likes which method best to get rip of pathogens that might come with plants.
--- Alum
--- Bleach
--- Hydrogen Peroxide
--- PP - potassium permangate dip
--- Clout medication
and if using a dip, what is the solution for example using bleach at 1/20 strength

I use Seachem Cupramine. All my plants have survived the treatment time of 2-3 weeks.

Seachem Cupramine copper, not cheap and 2-3 weeks wow, I guess will add it to the list.

The reason I treat over an extended time is so that possible snail eggs will hatch and die.

As far as I know Potassium Permanganate and Bleach would kill snail eggs also.

I've tried them several times over my planted tank years and no, they don't.

I believe that Bleach is the harshest for plants and safest for discus method for dealing with pathogens that might be harmful to discus and I use that method solely .
