For the last ten years or so, I have aged water by filing three 92 gallon garbage cans with water. They are connected via a bulkhead. I have a sump pump in the garbage cans that transfers water very quickly from the garbage cans to the tanks on a long plastic hose with a pvc shutoff on the tank. I am always spilling and making a mess. It's time to upgrade.

Before I make any upgrades, I thought I would include the products that intend to use to make a nice clean setup. I am looking for constructive criticism about my loosely thought out plan and suggestions concerning how to make it better.

I need a 300 gallon storage tank. I have 36 inch doorways. It will go in my basement. The max distance from my storage tank is about 20 feet.

I plan to hard plum plumb pvc from tank to pump.

This is the pump I am considering

I need suggestions concerning how to heat this set up.

Also any pitfalls with the above plan are welcome.

Thanks in advance.

Some things that I would consider:

I think a utility or sump pump would be better than a sprinkler pump. They are much less money for the flow rate and you could buy two and have a backup. Also, I believe a sprinkler pump is fairly high pressure which is not necessary for your application and can lead to other problems.

We buy the types of tanks you specify for work and the shipping is frequently more costly than the price of the tank. We buy from these people: http://www.plastic-mart.com/product/5677/300-gallon-vertical-plastic-storage-tank-tc3581ic
The tank is cheaper here and the shipping (at least to my location) was lower.

As far as the hose is concerned, are you buying a fire hose because you plan to roll it up after each use? I think they are made for intermittent use where you may be using it daily. I would hard plumb with schedule 80 PVC or use high pressure braid reinforced PVC tubing. You can get quick disconnects if you want remove it or if you want to hard plumb part of it and connect up with the tubing when needed.
