I was thinking about getting some from macsdiscus.com just because i can go pick them up, but i want quality and you never know what your getting since he does not post actual fish that your getting.

If you can go see them and pick them out and like what you see, then maybe that's OK. The sponsors here have been vetted by Al, the forum owner, to insure they offer forum members quality products and service. So, a bit of insurance. Just personally, I've been very happy with the discus I've gotten from Kenny's Discus. There are others on the west coast, too.
