And if you're just starting out with discus, it's best to begin with larger, more mature specimens than you can get from almost any hobbyist breeders, who usually sell their young ones in the 2.0" -2.5" range, which can be problematic to grow out successfully for a beginner to the hobby.
Your best bet would be to order online, to get air-shipped reasonably good-sized discus from the closest A-One high quality discus suppliers to you - Kenny's Discus in Daly City, Ca., or Chicago Discus, in Ill., come to mind, both sponsors here on SD. Check them out.
