You may have a little trouble believing this, but here goes:

This morning I received a new email message from 'a fish forum' advising me that a PM was awaiting me from one of their members, who had recently read my guide, was soon intending to get some discus from Kenny's Discus in Daly City, and was also planning on getting some of Martha Morris' Cories as tank-mates for the discus. He or she had a few questions for me, & asked for confirmation that his or her plans as stated were moving along ok.

I was busy doing a couple of other things (multi-tasking), so I didn't pay much attention to the other details of the message, including not making a mental note of which forum it was coming from (I belong to 8 of them), nor what the member's user name, or real name was - all this because I was fully intending to get back to the message a little later.

But on top of that, in my haste to complete something else, I accidentally fully deleted that email message !!!

No problem I thought, I'll just access my forums later & see who it was that had PM'd me with his or her questions, but would you believe, after checking more than once, there was NO new PM awaiting me at any one of the forums I'm a member of. I've never had this happen before, and wonder how this could have occured.

I'm completely mystified, and am hoping the sender of that message will read this, recognize him or herself, and kindly repeat/resend his or her message to me.

I'm mortified to think that some nice person looking for help may think I'm being very rude for ignoring his or her plea for help getting started with discus.

And no, I haven't had a drop to drink today. LOL

BTW, I had initially moved the email to the delete file, which is where it was sitting when I accidentally permanently deleted it.

And yes, I posted this same message on all of the forums I belong to.

Don't worry Paul. You're still good in my book... regardless of what everyone else is saying :p :antlers: all seriousness, just shows you have a good conscience. Hope that person sees your thread, laughs, and re-engages with you. Tell them be careful with Kenny... because they'll become addicted ... ... in a great way. As with other sponsors on here who feed our addictions quite well!

Thanks for the kind words Elliot - I just hope to hear from that person once more.

Paul I think I can help with this one. That sounds exactly like an individual that pmd me to introduce themselves to me this week. He used to be from my area. I will pm you.

You were absolutely right on, Al - I'm immensely thankful.
The sender has since contacted me, and I'll deal with his questions.
Wow - I feel so much better !

At my age, this has become an increasingly common occurrence.

I know what you mean Willie - I think I'm being affected the same way.

Well, I know who NOT to email in case of emergency!!! Jk. Paul that was really quite gracious of you to make a concerted effort to find the person whose email you deleted. Shows a great bit of character. I'm glad you've found them.

As to your woes on aging, don't worry if we aren't there yet we are all way on our way to the same direction. So I wouldn't let it bother you all that much.

Nice of you to say so Casey.
