Fishless Filter Cycling

I have the tank up and running with two sponge filters and a aquaclear 110, no fish. It is a 90gal tank. How much ammonia do I need to add to the water ?

Zippy, I am t the end of my fishless cycle and m y 125 gallon plus a 25 gallon sump took 12ml to raise the ammonia to 5. I would start out with 5 ml and give it about an hour and check. All I used was a syringe. The process is working out better than I expected. Just make sure you have ammonia with no dyes.

Thanks, yes I have ACE Hardware Ammonia, no dyes, soap etc.
I will test in an hour..........

In the "Discus For Beginners" section, the last sticky is Paul's "Guide For Beginners". This will answer all your questions. I followed it and have just completed cycling my 90g. It went just as described in the guide. Paul K.

Thank you. After adding the Ammonia an hour ago I just checked the tank and the Ammonia is now at roughly 4ppm.
