I've had my 90 gal tank up and running for three weeks without any fish. I'm in the process of having the tank cycle. Currently I'm adding about 2 tea spoons of ammonia each day, roughly 24 hrs later ammonia measurement is 0 to .25, Nitrites running around 5 but 0 Nitrates yet. The water seems slightly cloudy to me. I'm running 2 sponge filters and one Aquaclear 110 HOB filter, the tank is BB. Monday I removed the CC from the Aquaclear 110 and replaced it with Purigen. The cloudiness has not improved. Any suggestions ?
Thanks,
Zippy

Its Normal for the tank to get cloudy during the cycle. It will clear up soon, just keep the cycle going.

+1 Sounds like a bit of a bacterial bloom. Once your nitrates kick in it will clear up. Some people also see this after an established tank has had a die off of some beneficial bacteria. Patience is a virtue here...
