View Full Version : Do my discus look like they are growing good?

I got my discus 7 months ago as fry and I am wondering how they look in terms of growth. I don't know how I would measure them but I took some pictures during the water change to let you see. 108363108364

2 photos is not enough to tell the growth/development story, but if you actually got them as fry ( e.g. 2" or so), then the few we see here have grown reasonably well.
And they look healthy, so it appears you've done a pretty good job of growing them out so far. They look good.

I'd agree with Paul and Paul is one guy that knows what he is talking about

Eye to body ratio looks good. Shape and size look good. If these were grown from fry then job well done from what I can see

Thanks guys.. WOW my tank looks freaking dirty lol I took some snaps on my phone while doing the tank seeing them on the computer you can so much debris everywhere LOL.

What age would you say they should be full grown? year and a half or so?

The PB from the picture looks decent and up to its growth potential IMO .
The fast growth usually happens till the 12- th month , but it progresses with a slower rate to the 24th month of age .
You still got a lots of growing to do Adam , so get that bottom glass squicky clean and do your WCs :)
