Hello .. so for the first time i have successfully breed discus only 10 fry have survived till now but atleast its a start . Maybe you can suggest what should i improve and so on .. yesterday went to bed had alot of wigglers , today only 10 survived. Didnt had light on at night maybe that why ..

Hi Arturs,
Nice PB's and congratulations. Just a couple thoughts. If it was the pair's first time and it was a small batch, they may be eating them, or they may be dying off if the water is not clean enough. Are the remaining ones attaching? If not they could be getting weak and dying. Just ideas. With that small a group you might let them go and wait for them to spawn again.

Thanks .. i feed pair once a day doing 40% wc every other day .. the batch was arround hmm 50 i would say more maybe . Did look fine yesterday , did wc yesterday to .. yes the remaining ones looks like attaching. Im not really worried about this time because im just learning so im 100% sure i will fail many times still ..

Don't be surprised if it takes this pair 8 - 10 spawns before getting it right. You have a breeding pair. Keep up with the water changes and enjoy the next 12 months!

I would suggest you maintain a low level of light overnight to assist the fry in staying with and feeding of the parents 24/7.
