it appears that your fish is losing its slime coat and the spots you are seeing are its slime coat coming off in sections. is there something in your water irritating the fish? nitrite/ammonia at all? nitrate too high? I suggest adding salt one tablespoon per 10 gallons and large/huge daily water changes. what is your water change regimen?

Is this discus the only one showing this?

I had discus in the past affected with same condition. They were kept in a very poor conditions of a fully planted tank though . Without jumping to conclusions I tend to believe that this white patches on the skin might be a Velvet or Oodinum disease .

Try to separate the affected discus in a cycled 20 G - QT tank and give him 100% daily WCs for a start . if it doesn't get any better in a week or two , raise the temps. and add salt .
Try to improve WC s and maintenance regime in your display tank too to prevent spreading of the disease .

Good luck Arthur .
