Hi guys. Can someone help me with levamisol.
Need to know how much to use. How often to dose and how often to do a water change. I have 2 adult discs in a 10 gal hospital tank.
Thank you in advance.
Ps. I got levamisol 100% from angels plus.

Good discussion here....

Spilo, You really want to weigh this out on a scale.. The dose you are looking for is to make a 2ppm-4ppm bath. The fish are treated in this bath for 24 hours. Then water change and then retreat a week latter, and again a 3rd time about 3-4 weeks latter...

be very careful with their dosing instructions. Its much higher than the 2-4ppm most pathologists recommend and once you get above 6ppm Discus do not respond well. We have had cases of Overdoses here on the forum. I would not dose my discus 300mg per 10 gal water as they recommend. Its just way too high imo.

The angelsplus dosage of 1/4 teaspoon per 100 gallons is just about right. 1/4 tsp weighs 1 gram, which makes the concentration of medicine 2.6 ppm.

Its not easy to cut 1/4 tsp into smaller parts, so its better to use a scale and weigh out 100 mg of Levamisol per 10 gallons. (=2.6 ppm)

However, I would treat the main tank as well. If the fish are wormy they have been pooping nematode eggs, which can be picked up by the other fish. Keep the bottom of the tank squeaky clean during, and for a couple days after, treatment.

Thanks Al the dose forsubaquara is way to high. Fish did not like there dosing amount & got shocked. Stick to 2 to4 ppm. If you can handle it there are charts on google.
