About one month old. Spawning pair scared everybody to other side of tank.

Nice looking tank and fish. Really like those angels.

Is it just me or is the discus way in the back super skinny?

It's not just you. This Stendker discus doesn't eat well. Too intimidated. Eats well when alone. Maybe quarantine. Thanks for the reminder.

Sure. Just from that photo looks like it's head is pinched. I used to have eco in my tank. Ended up replacing with sand. Impossible to keep it clean enough

those angels are stunning OP. the discus are nice too but those angels are the show of this tank IMO. love the scape, its simple but effective. I especially like the bunches of java fern on the wood, that really set the wood off.

Thanks! I see you got some amazing wild discus in your avatar.

It's the plants that will make this tank pop. Tank needs more color. There are many large plants planted in this tank. A couple sword plants, some tall crypts, Madagascar lace plant, Tiger lotus, etc. All plants bought as babies and just adapting to water now as they were all grown emersed (Tropica).

Tank difficult to photograph due to LED. The spot-light nature of them create shadows at many angles. One thing different than T5HO. Even in person, the fish are in shadows. The only disadvantage of LEDs so far.

Also see Discus with split fins. Water quality not perfect lately since tank is not very established and had to transfer all the fish from 75g to this 180g within the matter of days.

Otherwise all good. :D

you've got a beautiful tank. You also have a really heavy bioload, how much water do you change daily? The fish on bottom right in first pic, he the runt?

All fish doing better now - knock on wood. Water is clearing up. 2 x 50% WC weekly. The fish devour frozen bloodworms. Went through one of those large flat packs in 3 weeks. Looking for better quality foods. Fins on Altums recovering.

Not much change from plants - I try to keep light low, pressurized co2 is low too. Designed aquascape for low maintenance and longevity. Fingers crossed.

Discus in your avatar look incredible. Bioload is heavy but we'll see what the magic of plants can do. The brown discus has thin, didn't eat for weeks. Now eating fine - might try target feeding to bring back to shape.

Hmmm I wonder what would happen if I put diffuser on LED. Difficult to photograph since the light is so direct. Will try wax paper as a diffuser or something.

Looking very nice... What is that second group of Angels? Albino something or other? They are awesome looking...

All you feed currently are bloodworms? If so you really need to change that, like, yesterday... Bloodworms are the last thing to beef up your guys. Go get a quality flake food at least or some good well packed pellets. Do you have access to Freeze Dried Blackworms?

Will get good flake food - what do you recommend? I thought all quality food comes in pellets. Freeze dried back worms I feed (regularly before) but saw no noticeable effect.

Discus eating dry food, I know the nutrition is there but is it healthy for discus? Not overdose on nutrition? I'm concerned about processed foods.

2nd group of angelfish are Dantum Angels. Just the trade name. Very little documentation regarding their source and genetics.
