Poly Filll

Anyone using Poly Fill in their sump? I read somewhere that it did a great job as a pri-filter.

I use it, but for water polishing

I use Poly fill I get at Walmart numerous places in various filters through out my tanks, it's much cheaper than filter floss from a pet store or online aquarium supply chain. Its in the craft section and labeled as pillow stuffing.

I have used the quilt batting from Walmart in the sewing section;comes in sheets,making it easy to fit any filter.

I have used it as well. Just a tip though make sure that it is only the Poly Fill with no additional chemicals. I have seen some with a mold retardant put in it.
