Saw post from CL for sale asking for $2000, used one. What would be a reasonable price to bargain ?

Thanks

That pics shows very little about the condition. Yes a new 500g acrylic tank would cost double or more then sellers asking price so condition and manufacture would mean the world as to what it would be worth used. Secondly it looks very dirty and can have deep scratches making it very difficult to buff out.

You can buy 240's for less than half the price...haha. jk. A 500 seems like a dream tank but I would definitely do a full walk through in person and make up my mind there. I'd also think it over night. A tank at that price doesn't get daily offers. I'd offer $1,600 if you are committed

I'd want to know who made it and how thick the sides are.

Thanks for your input everyone. Yes this is a huge step. He even has a 900 gallon tank ... For this 500 gallon. It is made out of 1 inch acrylic. It is 8ft long 2 ft wide and 4ft deep. Yes i will have to see it in person. My original offer is $2 per gallon lol. Unknown brand, Truvu would be nice but i don't think it is.114772

Re: 500 gallon acrylic tank is actually 478.75 Gallons US by the measurements you gave...still a monster tank for the most of us.
Did the seller respond back to your $2 per gal offer?
Going to be tough cleaning bottom at 4 ft deep...

I paid 6k for my 450 gallon tank new. 6'x3'x4' is what mind measures, so if it's in decent condition you've got a bargain. 1" acrylic all the way around.
