Just bought this proven pair of F3 Heckel X Amana RPG discus from Canadian Aqua farm. The strain creator is Dexter Chung from DXcus Discus in the Phillipines. They laid eggs within the first week of recieving them and recently laid again. The eggs look fertalized but dissapear after the second day. I will let the pair breed unbothered a couple more times before putting a screen over the cone to ensure the eggs won't get eaten.115475115476115477

I used to keep axolotls many years ago, they're what got me really into keeping aquariums and they will always be my first aquatic pet. I've learned alot from keeping them, they withstood alot of abuse and neglect... Why would I need brine shrimp? The whole reason I want to breed discus is that they feed the babies so I don't have to...

Hi Liamaxolotl19, many breeders start to feed freshly hatched brine shrimp about three to seven days after the fry go free swimming even when the parents are feeding the fry. It helps with the growth of the fry and gives you something to feed they no longer feed off the parents.
