Now I know theres a wide range of fish keeping nuts here...some keep only a few Discus others many. How many actually name their Discus?I usually don't as I don't get overly attached to them, but I do on occasion name a few , problem is I can't share those here as we are a family forum.

Currently I only have one Discus i have named. His name is Brutus. Because he is brutal to work with. Hes a wild male blue and is just one Bad Dude attitude filled cichlid.

Brutus facing off with the neighbors after getting in trouble for domestic violence.

So how about sharing a pic of the fish and its name here?:)

I do generally name all my fish but its a name that they have earned in some way. I havent named my discus yet as we are just getting to know eachother lol. Im sure that as they grow they will all earn their names.

Totally second that lol.

I named one of my Red Melons "Mr. Butthurt" since s/he has imperfect anal fin.

I don't name individual fish but I have names for a couple of types if fish. Baby brown bristle nose are "snots" for obvious reasons. Pearl Gouramis are "dots" because the first time I had a pair in a breeding tank I didn't know that they had succeeded until I saw that the tank was full of dots swimming around.
