Not what I was expecting when I clicked "goldfish contest thread," but nice tank none the less! Is it a typical 4x2x2 120 gallon? Looks really tall in the pictures.

Hi Pat my discus are from Tony at sunrisetropicals.com from October 2017. Size most are from 2.8-3” and few are from 4” discus. Tony had retired from discus so this my last discus tank from him.

Goldies are difficult plecos for discus tanks. Though they enjoy warm water, they are almost entirely herbivorous. You also need to trust your source greatly or be able to pick them yourself.
Some better options include: L128 (blue phantom), L200 (green phantom, two species) and L14 (sunshine pleco). L14 are particularly good but grow larger than the other two.

Hi Daniel
My discus eats home made beef from the supermarket for human to eat. After purchasing 2 pounds of meat, i ask the meat personnel to put it in the grinder for three passes. Flat the meat and freeze it. My discus love it more than frozen blood worm.

Hey Adams
I was looking at the goldy this afternoon but did not buy the suckerfish. My plecos bought from the same local fishstore. So far so good.

Thanks goldfish. Nothing better than a fat discus. If only this were true for humans, I’d be in pig heaven right now.

Your Discus remind me of mine. Just missing those reds you have.
Am mad about those plecos you have, sadly none of them are available here and if by chance they were, they would cost a hand and a leg. I got my first bristlenose for my tank and it was the first time I saw a bristlenose as even they are not available, coz the commons are just so cheap.
So tempted to get Geo's as one of the LFS has some that look incredible, but can't get myself to do so, until the Discus are fully grow & I have sand in the tank.

Nice pics Goldfish. Love the colors of your discus. You and some other pleco lovers have me seriously looking at them as an addition to my tank in the future-really nice!
