Ive had it years and use it all the time for more than fishfood.

For beefheart a grind like hamburger meat is what I would shoot for.

i use a ninja and mix it with flake.
makes a paste

when i've had the butcher send it go through a meat grinder, there was a lot of blood/water coming out

I typically pay a little under 2 bucks a pound for whole hearts. I buy them 80-100 pounds at a time from Publix.
